About

Tatiana Mavromati is an Athens based documentary photographer and educator. She has recently began using video as part of her practice. She is interested in themes around migrant cultures and communities, as well as issues related to gender and female labor.

Her photographs have features in Greek and international newspapers and magazines. She has organized, curated and participated in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

She began her career in the photographic community of Photography Circle in Athens (2004). She then went on to develop her documentary practice at the University of South Wales, graduating with an MA in Documentary Photography (2010). She also holds a University degree in Civil Engineering (2003) and a MA in History and Philosophy of Science (2006).

Since 2010 she has taught photography in various public and private settings in Athens. She also was a member of photo agency Hans Lucas (2019-2022).
